Privacy, terms and refunds

Last updated: 26 October 2026

Privacy

  • The app collects no usage data. No account, no telemetry. It goes online for two things only: activating your license key (once per computer; it sends the key and an anonymous device ID, a hash that cannot be traced back to your hardware) and checking for updates (it sends the app and macOS version, like any update check).
  • The app only looks at your screen while a session you started is running. Whatever is visible then ends up in the grid, including notifications or passwords on screen. The grid stays on your Mac until you paste it. What happens to it after you paste it into an AI service is governed by that service's own policy.
  • To let other apps paste several grids at once, the app saves the grids as image files in its own temporary folder on your Mac. The next copy replaces them, and macOS clears the folder over time. The app may also write a short text log of session events (state changes, shortcut presses) there, for troubleshooting. Neither ever leaves your Mac.
  • Opening at login is off unless you turn it on in the welcome guide. You can change it any time in System Settings → General → Login Items.
  • This site runs no analytics and no tracking and sets no cookies. The language is picked from your browser settings or the language menu. The hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (IP address, time, requested URL) for security and operation.
  • Payments are handled by Stripe as merchant of record (Stripe Managed Payments). Stripe collects your payment and billing details, email, country and tax information and processes them as an independent controller under its own privacy policy (stripe.com/privacy). If you choose Link, Stripe's saved payment service, that is between you and Stripe. I receive your email, country, the amount, the payment status and, if the link you came from had one, a source tag (for example x).
  • After payment, my license server receives your email and purchase ID from Stripe, creates your license key and emails it to you through Amazon SES. It stores the purchase (email, key, payment status) and the anonymous IDs of up to 3 activated computers with AWS in Frankfurt, for as long as the license exists. The app downloads are public files and need no data from you.
  • Legal bases: the contract (delivering the app, support), a legal obligation (accounting and tax records, kept as long as the law requires) and my legitimate interest (security, preventing abuse). Support emails are kept as long as needed to resolve your request.
  • Your data goes only to Stripe (payments and tax), Amazon Web Services (hosting, license server, license emails and logs), Cloudflare (DNS and forwarding of support emails), my email provider (support emails) and my accountant (invoices and tax records).
  • You have the right to access your data, have it corrected or erased (where the law does not require me to keep it), restrict or object to its processing. Email me. You can also complain to the Czech data protection authority, Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů (uoou.gov.cz).
  • Controller: Typico Games s.r.o., IČ 09960988, DIČ CZ09960988, Chudenická 1059/30, 102 00 Praha 10, Czech Republic, registered in the Commercial Register kept by the Municipal Court in Prague, file C 345442. Contact: support@framepaste.com.

Refunds

You can ask for a refund within 14 days of purchase, without giving a reason. Email support@framepaste.com with the email you paid with. I issue the refund through Stripe, back to the original payment method. Depending on your bank it can take several days to show up.

This applies even though the app is available right away, and it is on top of your statutory rights, which stay untouched. After a refund the key stops activating new computers; please delete the app.

Terms of sale

  • Licensor and provider of the app: Typico Games s.r.o., IČ 09960988, DIČ CZ09960988, Chudenická 1059/30, 102 00 Praha 10, Czech Republic, registered in the Commercial Register kept by the Municipal Court in Prague, file C 345442. Contact: support@framepaste.com.
  • Reseller and merchant of record: Stripe. You place the order with Stripe through its checkout, and the Stripe terms shown there apply to the payment itself. Stripe charges the price and any VAT or sales tax, sends the receipt and invoice, and handles payment questions and disputes. Everything about the app itself is between you and me.
  • You get a one-time license to use FramePaste. Price: $9 USD, plus VAT or sales tax where it applies. No subscription.
  • The license is for you, on up to 3 computers you own or use for your own work, on macOS and, once available, Windows. Do not resell or share your key, and do not redistribute the app.
  • Requirements: macOS 14 or later and the Screen Recording permission. The limits of the app (interval capture, up to 16 frames per grid and five grids per recording by default, images only) are described on the product page.
  • The app is a digital product. You can download it for free and use it for 7 days; the license key you buy is emailed right after payment. Updates for every 1.x version are included and installed by the app.
  • Beyond what the law requires, the app is provided as it is. I am not liable for indirect damage such as lost data or lost profit, except where the law does not allow this to be limited, for example for intent or gross negligence.
  • Your statutory rights as a consumer, including for defects of digital content, are not affected. To make a complaint, email me. I will answer within 30 days.
  • Czech law applies. If you are a consumer, the mandatory protection of the country you live in stays in force. Out-of-court dispute resolution is provided by the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce, adr.coi.cz).
